They offer a wide variety of services for people like us, and they offer even more to make sure you can use them effectively.<\/p>\n

The big news: Google changed the Rich Snippet Testing Tool<\/strong> to the Structured Data Testing Tool.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0We discussed Rich Snippet<\/a>s\u00a0last week. They allow us to display additional text and imagery on Google search results. For example, chefs can add a star rating to their recipes, bands can allow people to listen to their music with the touch of a button, and even ordinary Joes like you and I can provide access to our most popular pages or links.<\/div>\n

Well, the process to add this feature to our websites can be a little tricky (especially in the past). Fortunately, there have been many improvements in the system that we can use to our advantage.<\/p>\n

Basically, Google not only offers these Rich Snippets, but also tests our pages and links to make sure everything is showing up as intended. The Structured Data Testing Tool now allows you to see a much more accurate version of your new and improved search results and offers these tools in more languages.<\/p>\n
