You barely scraped together the content, and now <strong>you\u2019re trying to add a little flashiness without breaking the bank.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We get you, but we also realize the value of brand identity. Below, you\u2019ll find a list of resources for free royalty free photos.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>But, let\u2019s discuss copyright for a moment.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Read all of the rules regarding attribution. Follow them. If you don\u2019t, you\u2019re liable for a slew of awful legal ramifications just because you didn\u2019t want to pay a few bucks. Would you rather be fined? Sued? I sure wouldn\u2019t!<\/p>\n<p>If it says you link back to another site or provide attribution by the photographer\u2019s name, do it. Don\u2019t fight it. If you really can\u2019t manage that, go without or pay the fee for publication rights. It\u2019s just not worth it.<\/p>\n<p><em>Without further ado\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedigitalphotos.net\" target=\"_blank\">Free Digital Photos<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s quite a wide variety of free royalty free photos available from this free site, and it is where I got my start before I knew where else to go. It\u2019s very handy, but does require attribution for the free images (which are a relatively small size).<\/p>\n<p>It works, and will help you out in a pinch.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, paid royalty free images start at about $3 each, which\u00a0isn't\u00a0bad at all.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/commons.wikimedia.org\/wiki\/Main_Page\" target=\"_blank\">Wikimedia Commons<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is one of the biggest collections of public domain images out there! I love it for ease of use, and there are many, many public domain images available. But, many others require attribution, which\u00a0doesn't\u00a0always look good on a business site (I don\u2019t want potential business prospects to think I\u2019m cutting corners while asking for their good money). It\u2019s still a fantastic resource.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/groups\/publicdomain\" target=\"_blank\">Flickr \u2013 Public Domain<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Despite the legal sense of the term, the \u201cPublic Domain\u201d group on Flickr\u00a0doesn't\u00a0necessarily mean that the images are completely free for use. Many require attribution, so be sure to follow those rules by clicking the \u201cLicense\u201d link. Although many artists will write \u201cI waive all rights to this image,\u201d the license does not always say as such.<\/p>\n<p>But, these are some fantastic pictures. Most are taken by users, and there are images from everywhere, about everything.<\/p>\n<p>Our Favorite Paid Image Site: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.istockphoto.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">iStockphoto<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although this post is about where to find free pictures, we want to provide you with at least one awesome paid option: Veer. Some of their pictures can be pretty pricey, but there are a ton that start at $2 each. Plus, all new users get 10 free image credits (aka 10 pictures or 1 font).<\/p>\n<p>These aren\u2019t weird, cheap pictures. They\u2019re good, very good.<em><strong> I love Veer because it makes it look like I\u2019ve paid a lot of money for high-quality pictures but in reality, I paid barely anything.<\/strong><\/em> We don\u2019t know of a single paid-image site that even comes close for the financial and professional value.<\/p>\n<p><em>Where do you go for your graphics fix?
