  • Where to Hire Freelance Help

Congratulations! You decided to make the leap into running your own business and/or website. You realize that time’s a precious commodity, and it’s a waste of your good existence to develop a passing knowledge in every single bit of web and business development.

But, you’re stuck. Where do you go from here? You just can’t arrange all of those meetings on your own right now. Or you’re completely clueless when it comes to graphic design and your lame logo proves it. Perhaps your blog and social media profiles are looking really shabby, too.

You know it’s time to make a change. You need help. Where can you go on a tight budget?

Hire Freelance Help!

oDesk

This bidding site is one of the best in the industry. It allows business owners and freelancers from across an incredibly broad discipline of topics meet and work together. Whether you’re looking for help on a specific project or hourly assistance, they have all of those and more.

There are wonderful writers, web developers, graphic designers, virtual assistants, bookkeepers, and more.

Elance

Like oDesk, Elance offers all of the same services and then some. They’re known in the freelance community as a little bit of a step up from oDesk at times, as the rates are generally a little higher. This means that you can access an even more qualified and reputable group of workers from which to hire. Both are great for many types of help.

Fiverr

Although it is a bit gimmicky, Fiverr functions on the premise that you’ll pay $5 for a variety of different functions or products. There’s an unlimited amount of job offers out there from a variety of candidates. If you need a small project completed, this is incredibly budget-friendly.

Guru

Guru is another incredibly popular project bidding site for freelancers across the field. Really, I recommend looking at a variety of different websites. Although we’ve used oDesk often in the past, we realize that every need requires a different solution. What works for one may not work for another. Check out all of these programs before deciding. Guru could be your perfect professional solution!

ProBlogger Job Boards

If you’re looking for great writers, check out the ProBlogger job board. You might pay a little more, but you’ll be dealing with top notch writers from a variety of industries. For many of us, the comfort we experience over that quality of work beats our low budget.

Final Note:

Since we have most of our experiences with oDesk, we recommend it to others over some of the other sites. There is just an enormous pool of applicants, who range from entry-level, low-priced labor (with iffy results) to supremely stellar sidekicks who can become your greatest professional ally/work horse.

You’ll get a ton of responses quickly, the website is relatively easy to manipulate, and the system is pretty seamless. We suggest you start there in your search. If at first you do not succeed, try out the other programs.
